GOOD WALKING SHOE

My husband is a delivery driver – on and off his feet ALL DAY, jumping in and out of the truck, pushing large racks up and down ramps. After visiting a podiatrist because of foot pain, the doctor recommended the Brooks Addiction Walker. My husband hasn’t complained of foot pain since.
This shoe does provide excellent support and traction on most slippery surfaces. He wears this 6 days a week, so it does tend to wear rather quickly.
The price is a bit steep, but considering the alternative (stiff, rigid shoes with inserts which never seemed to relieve the foot pain and continuous visits to the podiatrist), we’ll pay the price for this shoe; but buying them 3 to 4 times a year does get a bit pricey. In the stores, the price is a bit more, they have to special order, and it usually takes 2 weeks to get them.
Overall, the shoe is a good choice for anyone that must be on their feet all day. The four vs five stars – price and wear (although ‘normal wear’ is probably not appropriate in my husband’s case). He does own a different pair of Brooks (Beast) that he wears to do most everything else – they have held up pretty good, a year with signs of wear.
The Addiction Walker is the best shoe I have found for my feet. I am a heavy guy, and I spent
many years bouncing between shoes, trying to get a shoe I could get some support and life out of, I settled on the Rockport ProWalkers for years, but once my doctor recommended Brooks, I was hooked!… They hold up very well for an everyday shoe, and took the ache out of my feet. I am on my third pair in a little over 2 years, in contrast to the ProWalker where I probably would have been in 5 pairs by now.
I recommend these over Rockport ProWalkers.

I HAVE PURCHASED THIS BROOKS SHOE THREE TIMES AND HAVE BEEN EXTREMELY SATISFIED WITH THE PRODUCT. AMAZON PRICE IT 1/2 THE LOCAL RETAIL PRICE.
Finally shoes that fit and don’t hurt my feet. They are well made and
last 4 times longer than any others I’ve had. They’re still holding up
and not showing excessive wear after one year. Great workmanship. I love
‘em!
